Inclusive remote working hub charter document laying out key principles
Remote work is no longer the exception, it’s a cornerstone of Ireland’s labour market. With over 350 hubs in the Connected Hubs Network and one of Europe’s fastest-growing remote workforces, the opportunities are immense. But without accessibility at the core, we risk excluding the very communities that stand to benefit most.
The Remote Work: Accessible Hubs Policy Paper sets out why investment in universal design, accessibility and community-focused hubs is critical to ensuring Ireland’s digital transformation is equitable, sustainable, and inclusive.
Key Recommendations
- Allocate funding to establish and maintain fully accessible hubs.
- Develop accessibility standards and universal design guidelines for all hubs.
- Strengthen partnerships between government, businesses and communities.
Accessible remote working hubs not only support employment but also revive rural economies, reduce carbon emissions and strengthen communities.
